Support National PTA for #GivingTuesday
The holiday season is upon us! It’s an exciting time for families to come together and give thanks for all of life’s blessings. This Dec. 2, families across the country will embrace the spirit of the season on Giving Tuesday, a day to support organizations working to make a difference.On Dec. 2, go to PTA.org/GivingTuesday and donate to support every child. Then, talk with families in your community about Giving Tuesday and the greatest gift a parent can give: his or her time. By joining PTA, parents have the opportunity to help schools and communities make every child's potential a reality.

Dec. 3: Smart Snacks Fundraising Webinar

The “Smart Snacks: Fundraising Successes” webinar, hosted by the School Nutrition Policy Fellow at National PTA, will inform state and local leaders on successful fundraisers that meet the Smart Snacks guidelines. Join us for this brief overview and learn:
- Examples of successful healthy and non-food fundraisers
- Existing resources from National PTA and other organizations regarding Smart Snacks compliant fundraisers
Spread the word with other local and state PTA contacts who would benefit from this information. We look forward to having you join our webinar on improving child nutrition and school fundraisers through the Smart Snacks guidelines.
U.S. Army Pro Football Hall of Fame Award of Excellence Seeking Top Athletes
The U.S. Army Pro Football Hall of Fame Award for Excellence Program seeks to highlight the Nation’s top sophomore, junior and senior high school athletes. Know a student who exemplifies similar strengths to Army Strong Soldiers, both athletically and academically?
Students must meet the award’s criteria and be in an accredited high school during the 2014-2015 school year. The deadline to apply is Dec.5.

What's the next Reflection's theme? We need your help!
The search is on for the future National PTA Reflections theme. One exceptional concept will be chosen to inspire thousands of students across the nation and in American schools overseas to create original works of art in dance, film, literature, music, photography and visual arts.The Theme Search Contest Winner receives $100 and recognition at the National PTA Convention in June 2015. Past themes are not considered. For additional guidelines and instructions on how to enter, contact your state PTA.
