Smart Snacks Implementation Guide is Now Available! National PTA’s implementation guide for the new federal nutrition guidelines regulating “competitive foods”—known as Smart Snacks—is now available at PTA.org/SmartSnacks.
The implementation guide has information regarding PTA’s role, what foods and beverages meet the guidelines, how to determine if a food or beverage meets the guidelines, fundraisers, celebrations, additional ways PTA can help and resources from partner organizations. Fire Up Your Feet in November!
November is around the corner and many PTAs will host turkey rots, walkathons and fun runs to celebrate Healthy Lifestyles Month. Fire Up Your Feet is a program that encourages families to get more physical activity while tracking their exercise and raising money for their PTA or school.
