Lori Roth, an executive at the Top 50 accounting firm Prager Metis, has been named to the board of trustees of the New Jersey Business and Industry Association.

As national managing partner at Prager Metis, Roth oversees the entire firm’s day-to-day operations and holds a key role in developing strategic goals and policies, monitoring performance, and driving business growth. She is also a partner in the firm’s Audit and Accounting and Advisory Services departments.

With more than 30 years of industry experience, Roth specializes in audit and assurance services, litigation support, and business valuation, and has worked with clients in a variety of industries including closely held businesses, real estate and U.S. subsidiaries of foreign banks and corporations.

“NJBIA serves a diverse range of member companies and this appointment continues our efforts to have a board of trustees that is reflective of our membership and New Jersey’s changing business community,” said NJBIA President & CEO Michele Siekerka. “Lori brings leadership, experience and a wealth of insight to NJBIA, and our organization will be stronger because of her,” Siekerka said.

Roth is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, and serves on the board of directors of Unchained at Last, a nonprofit that provides free legal and social services to help women and girls escape arranged/forced marriages.  Roth is also active in several civic organizations, including the Cancer Hope Network and the alumni association of Lehigh University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in business and economics.

“I’m honored to be joining the NJBIA board of trustees," Roth said. "I look forward to sharing my leadership philosophy and financial background to help the organization achieve its goals of fostering strong partnerships between New Jersey’s business community and the state government and championing a competitive business climate for our state’s businesses. These goals mirror Prager Metis’s dedication to providing exceptional client – and in this case, member – service.”

A resident of Hillsborough, Roth will begin serving a three-year term on the NJBIA board of trustees beginning in 2021.
